Gentamicin ELISA Kit
Product Introduction
Gentamicin, an alkaline compound derived from the fermentation broth of Micromonospora (actinomycete family), is a commonly used aminoglycoside antibiotic widely applied in culture medium preparation and clinical treatment of bacterial infections. It exhibits neurotoxic, nephrotoxic, and ototoxic properties. Residues in animal-derived foods and biological drugs pose risks to human health, including potential allergic reactions. Regulatory authorities in Europe, the United States, and China mandate strict limits on its usage.
Junyan Biotech’s Gentamicin Quantitative Detection Kit utilizes an indirect competitive ELISA method. The pre-coated gentamicin-conjugated antigen on the microplate strip competes with residual gentamicin in the sample for binding to the enzyme-labeled anti-gentamicin monoclonal antibody. Following the addition of an enzyme-labeled secondary antibody and TMB substrate for color development, absorbance is measured using a microplate reader. The absorbance is inversely proportional to the gentamicin content in the sample. This kit requires approximately one hour for operation and has a linear range of 0.1 ng/mL–10 ng/mL.
