Product Introduction
Murine Minute Virus (MMV) is characterized by high homology, strong stability, and being difficult to remove or inactivate. It is highly prone to contaminating murine-derived cells commonly used in biopharmaceuticals (such as CHO, NS0, and BHK-21 cells). Therefore, MMV detection has become an important test item for the release of murine-derived cells and biological products prepared from them. The General Chapters of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia require the detection of specific viruses in master cell banks and working cell banks, such as the detection of MMV contamination in CHO cells. The FDA's Viral Safety Evaluation of Biologics emphasizes virus detection in raw materials, production processes, and final products of biological products, with special mention of the need to detect high-risk viruses (such as MMV).
This kit can cover 4 MMV strains (i, p, m, c); the total on-machine time is 52 minutes, which is relatively short; the kit contains positive controls and internal controls. The detection sensitivity can reach 2 copies/μL. It can be used with Junyan Bio's Host Cell Residual DNA (Magnetic Bead Method) Sample Pretreatment Kit to achieve accurate and rapid detection of MMV contamination in biological products and raw materials.
